Abu Dhabi-My First Week

Since Will and I arrived a day late due to flight cancellations, we did not have much time to recoup for the two seven hour flights. We spent our first day traveling from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and meeting clients at both of the sites that we would be working. The rest of the week was spent training at the hospital in Abu Dhabi.

Will and I would do a little exploring of Abu Dhabi in the evenings. We were both shocked at the unexoticness of the city. There were many times that we would go to dinner or walk the streets of the city and we would have to remind ourselves that we were not in an American city...with the exception of the many locals wearing traditional dress and call for prayer 5 times a day.

Towards the end of the week a team of people for my company came in town to help with the go-live event at the hospital. It was nice to have more associates in town to explore the city with and go to dinners. On the morning that we had off before starting training at the second hospital, a group of US associates and I explored the Marina Mall, one of the many malls in the country.
Pedestrian crossing sign in Abu Dhabi.
Everywhere you look there are posters of their sheikhs.
At the top of Marina Mall tower with colleagues from the US.

Me in with the skyline of Abu Dhabi in the background.
