Getting to Dubai was an adventure in itself. Will and I were supposed to leave on Wednesday October 27 on a late afternoon flight to Atlanta and then a flight directly to Dubai. As I was on my way, Will called to let me know that our flight to Atlanta had been canceled. Just our luck! We made many attempts to try to get on a plane the same day, to no avail. We even got rescheduled onto another flight, said our good bye to our significant others, went through security, only to find out that the flight was significantly delayed and we would miss our connection to Dubai. At this point we decided to jump ship and try again the next day; so we head to the Delta reservations desk to reschedule. After standing in line and talking to airline representatives for hours it was finally resolved that we could leave the next day, late evening and fly the route of Kansas City to Detroit to Paris to Dubai. In the end we arrived roughly 26 hours latter than we expected.
